UPCEA is YOUR Community
UPCEA members are part of a powerful group of over 14,000 colleagues, thought leaders and friends who truly "get" what it means to work in online, professional, and continuing education. UPCEA has the knowledge and resources colleges and universities need to serve adult, online, and non-traditional learners.
Who Are UPCEA Members?
UPCEA members are leaders in professional, continuing, and online (PCO) and include deans, administrators, marketing professionals, program directors, instructional designers, directors, and more from universities and colleges large and small, including the largest public and private institutions to smaller regional master's, baccalaureate and special focus schools. Rosters are unlimited and can include any professional staff (including faculty) in your organization. UPCEA Corporate Memberships are available to companies that provide solutions within online, professional, and continuing education.

We recommend approaching membership from a Learn-Know-Do lens.
For example:
Learn with exclusive research and professional development
Know peers and leaders in our field through our networks and recognition
Do whatever it takes to help each other advance professional and organizational goals by collaborating, leading, and mentoring
This membership matrix has the word Learn, Know, or Do in the top right of each page to help you determine what your next best step is in your membership journey.

UPCEA has an immense amount of content and it can be challenging to know where to begin.
Yes, we do recommend Learn-Know-Do as your membership journey lens, but what a person does when they're new to a role or the association is different from what they might want as an experienced professional. Likewise, the executive suite might have goals that differ as well. This is why we developed this handout with three tiers of suggested membership pathways: Emerging - Mid-Senior.
We hope it inspires to you chart your unique pathway through membership.
